The Catholic Youths Organization of Nigeria (CYON), Holy Rosary Catholic Parish, Wuse, Abuja, once again lifted hearts and deepened faith with the presentation of the second edition of the Nativity Drama on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2025, just before the Holy Mass of Christmas Night.

The beautifully staged drama vividly retold the sacred story of the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, drawing parishioners into an evening filled with inspiration, reflection, and joy. A large congregation gathered outside the church to witness the highly engaging performance, a testament to the growing impact and acceptance of the initiative within the parish community.

The play unfolded in a well-structured and captivating sequence, beginning with the angel’s message to Zechariah, followed by the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It powerfully portrayed the holy and immaculate conception of Jesus, the visitation of Mary to Elizabeth, and the role of Saint Joseph, including his divine dreams that affirmed God’s plan. The drama further followed the journey of the Three Wise Men, culminating in the joyful and reverent birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem.

The youthful cast delivered their roles with remarkable clarity, devotion, and confidence, making the message of Christmas come alive for both young and old. The costumes, stage settings, and overall production were thoughtfully executed, reflecting careful preparation and strong teamwork among the youths.

Parishioners were visibly moved by the performance, which set a prayerful and reflective tone ahead of the Christmas Night Mass. The drama not only entertained, but also served as a powerful reminder of God’s love for humanity, revealed through the birth of His Son.

The parish community commends and sincerely appreciates the CYON of our parish for their creativity, commitment, and dedication in using drama as a tool for evangelization. Indeed, the second edition of the Nativity Drama has further enriched the parish’s Christmas celebrations and will be fondly remembered as a meaningful expression of youthful faith and service.
The parish appreciates the tireless efforts of our CYON in presenting such a spiritually enriching Nativity Drama. Special thanks go to the cast, coordinators, costume and stage teams, and all who worked behind the scenes to make the production a success. Your commitment to evangelization through drama is deeply valued and truly inspiring.
